Clean rooms. Very beautifull little hotel in heart of town. Price is cheap for what you get.
Maybe little rooms. But it didnt bother us.

The staff is extremely helpful with all the questions you ask and they speak fairly good English. There's free coffee and tea available all times. Rooms are basic but clean and the small surroundings are kept well. We had a room with a/c, but it was not needed in July.
Ask around to find the hotel - it is not in the main tourist road yet in a small alley linking it. Old, lumpy pillows in the bed.

Hotel design is unique and home feel. Room is simple, with creative artwork. Bathroom is clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice. Everything is up to our expectation, except the room light is dim. A good place for rest and relax. Will definately stay here again for next visit.

The fact that Booked.net helped me trough the misunderstanding I had with the hotel reception. The hotel itself is not great, but it's reasonably clean. I will stay at this hotel again for the location. It's within walking distance with the city attraction and transportation are plenty.
It's quite expensive for a budget hotel, since the star hotels when they have good offer reduce the price, while this hotel is a budget hotel with quite expensive rate

This hotel is one of the nicest hotels I have experienced in Indonesia. The city Jogja is very nice and this hotel, at the center of sosroywayan, is just great. The manager helped my out on my trips in the region, a great service.
nothing to complain, it's what you can expect at this price and more

The room was ok exactly as it looks like in the pictures. The staff is nice, like everyone in Indonesia.
A bit expensive, I think you can get something much cheaper and still ok by just walk into the same road and ask.

Natural environment feeling although in the city
I would be more than pleasant if they could have offered to change bed sheet and replace shampoo/soap

Hotel 1001 Malam is a lovely small hotel which would suit travellers who want a degree of comfort, but also a more local feel. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable and I appreciated the peace and quiet of the courtyard garden after a busy day sightseeing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I found the location very convenient for access to central Jogjakarta. Restaurants and a few local small shops for water and snack supplies were nearby, as were taxis and becaks. Despite being central and near the railways station, the hotel is located in a quiet kampong (the call to prayer being the exception!) which adds to the overall experience. There were a variety of nationalities staying at the hotel, which was also fun. I would definitely stay there again if in that part of the world.
